San Jose Sharks defenseman Dan Boyle cemented his place in blooper videos for years to come.

Boyle broke a 0-0 tie 51 seconds into overtime by shooting the puck past Evgeni Nabokov into his own net. Colorado's Ryan O'Reilly received credited for the goal.

The snafu came after a dominating performance by the Sharks. San Jose outshot Colorado 50-15 in regulation, with 42 of those coming over the the final two periods.

Avalanche goaltender Craig Anderson 's 50 saves without allowing a goal during regulation set an NHL record.

The team is cursed! What a fluke score. Pack this team up and move them to Winnipeg.

Goalie gotta be paying attention.  Especially in OT . Its always some silly puck thrown on net to win.  Well at least on the opposing teams net.

Chokers, curses, etc.... theres no reason they didn't score a goal on 50 shots.  Yeah Andersson played large, but you've got to put the bisket in the basket in the playoffs.

p;   Look at this way Danny... as bad as you may feel right now, you should be thanking your lucky stars that you were playing hockey in America, and not soccer in South America, when you blasted a goal past your own goalie. Otherwise, you'd be dodging knives on your way out the tunnel, and avoiding assasination for the rest of your career. With that said...what the hell were you doing? Who were you passing it to?....It looked like a full on wrister straight to the low glove side man from furthest edge of the wing bro! Jesus! Even Sidney Crosby's gold medal winning shot in the olympics is jealous that shot got through. I used to dog on San Jose all the time as being the ultimate playoff choke vending machine...but this is purely the kind of stuff curses are made of. That said, if San Jose should comeback and go far in the playoffs...the storyline is now much more dramatic. Maybe San Jose goes into the locker next game and makes it rallying point for the series and turns everything around. I mean...how much worse could it get.

Wow. I'm not a San Jose fan. But I feel sorry for them. It is like they are cursed. fantastic regular seasons, dominating play outshooting their opponents, yet they still find a way to lose.
There may be some brave talk. But this team is done and is going to be blown up.
