Sharks' Heatley not in lineup for Game 3

The San Jose Sharks will be without Dany Heatley for Game 3 of their Western Conference Quarterfinals matchup against the Colorado Avalanche.

Heatley is out with an undisclosed injury and day-to-day.

Manny Malhotra will fill in for Heatley on San Jose's top line, which includes Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau .

The Sharks' third leading scorer during the regular season with 82 points, Heatley has one assist and a minus-2 ratings through two playoff games.

Has he been hurt for a while? His scoring has been down for a while. Then again, the Sharks probably would have rested him down the stretch if that really were an issue?

Hope he's back on track soon.
